Is it weird to not have a Facebook account

There are other ways of maintaining connections with old friends and seeing what people are up to, facebook just makes it easy.There wasn't a huge incident or anything that prompted this, it was just a bunch of little things that started a domino effect of sorts.But it is weird if someone puts up a facebook account just to date.It's become a kind of thing everyone has and thus, not having it is about as odd as not owning a mobile phone.I'm taking all status updates.
